I’m trying to make enduring literary art. I aspire to contribute to the craft that I value so highly. I want to write a book so heavy with human truth you have to call a friend to help lift it. I want to write such beautiful prose that after you turn a page you check to see if your fingers are scorched. I’m working hard full-time at this: write, edit, study, write, throw it away, do better, study, edit, write, repeat.

I truly hope you see something in my books, that would matter to me.
